This is a quick list of refinery types.

Minor spoiler, this list contains stats of higher level equipment.

– Settlement Refineries –

RARE ORE REFINERIES

If a settlement has a “Rare Ore Refinery”, a subsidiary of Grivoc Industries, you can place a rare ore refinery. Input material is taken from the settlement’s Commercial Storage, and output can be emptied to the Commercial Storage. All refineries require a Captain Level of 20, and require a minimum Refining skill. Refineries require 5 structure points to deploy.

Each Rare Ore Refinery consumes 30 units of Refined Ore (created by refining Ore in the Orbital Refinery), 30 units of Dyzalithiaum Fuel, and 50 units of Water per hour to produce 10 units of the rare ore.

The output hopper for these Refineries is 2000 units, so it must be emptied to the settlement’s Commercial Store periodically.

CES Rare Ore Refineries work as normal refineries. They do not require structure points to deploy, but a player can only deploy five at a time.

  • Refinery Plant (Byzilliam Ore), Refining Skill 85
  • Refinery Plant (Dylithium Gas), Refining Skill 90
  • Refinery Plant (Dylithium Ore), Refining Skill 45
  • Refinery Plant (Dyterium Ore), Refining Skill 55
  • Refinery Plant (Ref Dyterium), Refining Skill 70
  • Refinery Plant (Ref Trisiolate Gas), Refining Skill 80
  • Refinery Plant (Ref Tryonite), Refining Skill 75
  • Refinery Plant (Tessarine Gas), Refining Skill 65
  • Refinery Plant (Tessarine Ore), Refining Skill 60
  • Refinery Plant (Trigenite Ore), Refining Skill 40
  • Refinery Plant (Tryonite Ore), Refining Skill 50

Archimedes Device POD

The Archimedes Device is a CES store (non-craftable) POD that affects Rare Ore Refineries. If the captain has an Archimedes Device POD equipped when a Rare Ore Refinery is placed in a Grivoc slot, the hopper size is increased to 4000, and the output is 20 units per hourly cycle. Once the Refinery is in place, the Archimedes Device can be unequipped, and the Refinery’s boost will not be changed.

FRAGMENT REFINERIES

If a settlement has a “Rare Ore Refinery”, a subsidiary of Grivoc Industries, you can place a Fragment refinery. Input fragments and gasses are taken from the settlement’s Commercial Storage, while the gem is taken must be in the settlement’s local secure store. Output can be emptied to the Commercial Storage. All refineries require a Captain Level of 35, and all require Refining skill of 220. Refineries require 5 structure points to deploy.

Each Fragment Refinery consumes 100 units of the fragment type, 100 units of a specific gas, and one unit of a specific gemstone per hour, producing 10 units of the final ore.

  • Anterite Fragments 100, Ugospinium Gas 100, Gemstone – Tephsterite 1 = 10 Anterite
  • Anvil Erutite Fragments 100, Quatrrillium Gas 100, Gemstone – Aldeite 1 = 10 Anvil Erutite
  • Atruzum Fragments 100, Quatrrillium Gas 100, Gemstone – Rundime 1 = 10 Atruzum
  • Benderite Fragments 100, Buritozol Gas 100, Gemstone – Cordphyllite 1 = 10 Benderite
  • Chesonium Fragments 100, Antisol Gas 100, Gemstone – Zipauxite 1 = 10 Chesonium
  • Elothum Fragments 100, Zerilliumite Gas 100, Gemstone – Concottaite 1 = 10 Elothum
  • Fomerite Fragments 100, Bullon Gas 100, Gemstone – Jurbverite 1 = 10 Fomerite
  • Fragillium Fragments 100, Metreon Gas 100, Gemstone – Coomond 1 = 10 Fragillium
  • Higgilium Fragments 100, Antisol Gas 100, Gemstone – Talcaster 1 = 10 Higgilium
  • Jallycite Fragments 100, Rigan Vertol Gas 100, Gemstone – Tealbbiite 1 = 10 Jallycite
  • Lelanium Fragments 100, Buritozol Gas 100, Gemstone – Jurbnophane 1 = 10 Lelanium
  • Moolite Fragments 100, Bullon Gas 100, Gemstone – Emercamite 1 = 10 Moolite
  • Ozablese Fragments 100, Ugospinium Gas 100, Gemstone – Fukuganeite 1 = 10 Ozablese
  • Soqorite Fragments 100, Rigan Vertol Gas, Gemstone – Umagorite 1 = 10 Soqorite
  • Suvorium Fragments 100, Zerilliumite Gas 100, Gemstone – Crontzerite 1 = 10 Suvorium
  • Zoorlerite Fragments 100, Metreon Gas 100, Gemstone – Arguzziite 1 = 10 Zoorlerite

The Fragment Refinery has an output hopper of 2000 units, which must be emptied from time to time to the local Commercial Store.

Fragment Refineries are not affected by captain certification or an Archimedes Device POD.

– Orbital Refinery fit refineries / Automated Merlin Refineries –

AUTOMATED MERLIN REFINERIES – STAFFIUM

AMR units that produce the staffium category materials are fitted in the orbital refineries in systems with an asteroid field. (Not all systems with an asteroid field have an orbital refinery.) The player is limited by the number of available slots and power consumption allowed by their Pennyworth faction standing, and initially this allows for one AMR to be equipped. Staffium AMR’s require a Captain Level of 25 and a Refinery skill of 130.

It is important to note that Staffium AMR’s can only be fed by Advanced Mining Drones, which means they are only usable by higher level players.

Each Staffium AMR requires 25 units each of four different primary ores, and produces 25 units of Staffium ore per hour. The list below includes the input ores.

  • AMR Alexium – Ravenrock Ore, Tungsten, Flufenamic Ore, Zirconium
  • AMR Bebelliumnite – Nazzorium, Xerinium Ore, Xylaria, Terracyte Ore
  • AMR Droffalt – Adamantane, Prevtonium Ore, Ravenrock Ore, Biogenic Ore
  • AMR Elkhorite – Vomicine, Titanium, Zandimonte Ore, Jasper Ore
  • AMR Escarondium – Xylaria, Kallycite Ore, Magnetic Andium, Berilliniumnite Ore
  • AMR Fangesium – Feltonite Ore, Randium Gas, Malifinum Ore, Quasar Ore
  • AMR Foxeynite – Cryzen Ore, Tellerite Ore, Magnetic Andium, Biogenic Ore
  • AMR Hannaium – Flufenamic Ore, Rubidium, Vomicine, Strontium
  • AMR Shintite – Zandimonte Ore, Jasper Ore, Ravenrock Ore, Prevtonium Ore
  • AMR Waldroxium – Eureka Ore, Boron, Adamantane, Iridium

Output goes to the orbital refinery advanced ore store, which can be moved to the ship store or sent to a planetary commercial store.

AUTOMATED MERLIN REFINERIES – FRAGMENT

AMR units that refine fragment ores are fitted in the orbital refineries in systems with an asteroid field. (Not all systems with an asteroid field have an orbital refinery.) The player is limited by the number of available slots and power consumption allowed by their Pennyworth faction standing, and initially this allows for one AMR to be equipped. Staffium AMR’s require a Captain Level of 35 and a Refinery skill of 250.

Fragment AMR input can be transported from a settlement storage to the refinery. They do not require advanced mining drones, and advanced mining drones do not collect fragments.

Each Fragment AMR requires 200 units of fragments to produce one unit of the final ore. However, leveling up certain certificates (not available until level 65) can improve efficiency. Each level of the certificate for Industry and Metallurgy reduces the input required by 4 units per hour. Each level of the certificate Refining increases the output by +1 unit per hour.

While Fragment AMR’s do not have the limitation of advanced mining drones, it is suggested they not be used until the player has a few certificates leveled up. Otherwise, it can be more cost effective to just sell the fragments on the GBM.

The AMR fragment refineries are listed below. The input is only ore fragments.

  • AMR Anterite
  • AMR Anvil Erutite
  • AMR Atruzum
  • AMR Benderite
  • AMR Chesonium
  • AMR Elothum
  • AMR Fomerite
  • AMR Fragillium
  • AMR Higgilium
  • AMR Jallycite
  • AMR Lelanium
  • AMR Moolite
  • AMR Ozablese
  • AMR Soqorite
  • AMR Suvorium
  • AMR Zoorlerite

Output goes to the orbital refinery advanced ore store, which can be moved to the ship store or sent to a planetary commercial store.
